Born in China, seventeen year-old Biguo Xing started playing the piano at the age of four. She is currently enrolled in the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School, where she studies with Mr.Yuan Sheng.
Biguo has been a three-time prize winner at the Xinghai Cup Piano Competition, beginning with earning Third Prize as a 9 year old in 2008. Thereafter, she won Second Prize in 2010 and Third Prize in 2012 in the same competition. She is also a two-time laureate of the MacKenzie Awards of the International Keyboard Institute & Festival (2015, 2016). She has won a First Prize scholarship and Third Prize scholarship several times from the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School.
Additionally, in 2014, Biguo won Fifth Prize at both the 11th Piano Competition of the Central Conservatory of Music and at the Yamaha Music Scholarship. Most recently, she won Fifth Prize and the “Best Performance Award of Chinese Composition” in the Senior Division at the 1st Beijing International Fryderyk Chopin Competition for Young Pianists in 2016.
In addition, Biguo was the winner of the BNP Paribas “Rising Stars” Piano Festival Award in 2016, which was presented by the BNP Paribas and its Foundation. This also earned her an opportunity to perform at the Beijing Concert Hall for the Special Pre-Concert before Sandro de Palma’s Piano Recital during the Piano aux Jacobins Festival in China. Besides the Beijing Concert Hall, Biguo has also appeared on China Central Television, at Meany Hall of Performing Arts, Mengminwei Concert Hall of Tsinghua University, and the Concert Hall of Shanxi University.
