Anastasia Magamedova began piano studies at the age of five in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.  Currently she is a junior at the Waterford School in Salt Lake City, UT and studies with Dr. Heather Conner of the University of Utah piano faculty.

She has been the recipient of many prestigious awards including the National Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award, and has appeared on the National Public Radio program, From the Top.  She was the Gold medalist at the 2013 International Keyboard Odyssiad and Festival Piano Competition in Ft. Collins, CO.  In 2010, 2011, and 2012, she was a winner of the Utah Symphony Youth Guild Auditions, and also received two first place awards in the University of Utah SummerARTS competition, both in the solo and concerto divisions.  In January, 2015, Anastasia was a winner in the Utah MTNA Senior Piano Competition and the MTNA SouthWest Division Senior Piano Competition. She also was a finalist in the 7th Yamaha USASU Young Artists International Senior Piano Competition.

Anastasia has performed as concerto soloist with the Utah Symphony and with the American West Symphony as both a concerto competition winner and as soloist.  In December, 2014, she performed at Carnegie’s Weill Hall.  She has been interviewed and performed live on KBYU-FM several times including on its program Highway 89.

On two occasions, Anastasia attended the International Institute for Young Musicians. She has also participated in master classes with Arkady Aronov, Ignat Solzhenitsyn, Yong-Hi Moon, Vassily Primakov and Valery Kuleshov.
