CHANG-HWAN CHOI – SOUTH KOREA (28)

Born in South Korea, pianist Choi Chang-Hwan graduated with honors from Sunhwa Arts Middle and High School and entered Yonsei University as the top student, receiving a full scholarship from the Hyundai Chung Mong-Koo Foundation. His competition accolades include first place at the Korea Chopin Competition, Samick/Seiler Piano Competition, and Sungjung Music Competition, as well as third place  at the Segye Magazine Music Competition, Kawai International Competition (with Best Performance Prize), and Premiotoscana Casina International Competition.  

Choi has performed at prestigious venues including Steinway Hall (Steinway Invitation Concert Series), Kumho Art Hall (Kumho Young Artists Concert), and Omotesando Hall (Kawai Invitation Concert). He was also featured in the OnDream Ensemble’s regular concert at the Sejong Center Chamber Hall. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree at the University of Music in Münster under Arnulf von Arnim.
