Jae Hong Park began his piano studies at the age of seven. After entering the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts, he went on to attend the Seoul Art High School. He enjoys expanding his repertoire and is endeavoring to build his career in music.
In 2012, he performed Chopin’s Piano Concerto No.1 with the Banatul Philharmonic of Timisoara, Romania. In 2014, Jae Hong was the Fourth Prize winner of the 14th Ettlingen International Competition for Young Pianists in Ettlingen, Germany. Including the Eumag-Chunchu, Jae Hong won prizes at the 41st Samick-Seiler, the TBC, the CBS and the 1st International Haydn Piano Competition. In this same year, Jae Hong also earned First Prize in Korea’s, 63rd Ehwa – Kyunghyang Competition.
As a participant in the 2014 Summer Academy in Mozarteum, Salzburg, he was selected to perform at the Wien Hall in Salzburg. Jae Hong has played in Master Classes with Jeno Jando, Phillip Kawin, Wolfgang Watzinger, and Haisun Paik.
Among his many recital appearances, the Prodigy Recital, held by the Kumho Asiana Cultural Foundation, is the most important and highly competitive event in Korea. Jae Hong is also interested in chamber music and has had concerts as a chamber music pianist. He serves as a pianist in school concerts as well as in the Sunday chapel at his church. Jae Hong is currently studying with Daejin Kim and Eunyoung Hong in the Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts.
