Jun Lin Wu began his relationship with the piano at the age of four through his own youthful improvisations of popular tunes at the keyboard.  Seeing an affinity for music, his parents soon enrolled him in lessons with Chinese pianist Qi Li, Professor of Piano at China’s prestigious Xinghai Conservatory of Music.  Eager to learn and quick to adapt, Jun Lin quickly blossomed into a seasoned concert performer. He plays with a virtuoso flair, but is also capable of great sensitivity, and has a depth of understanding unusual for his age.

Since 2010, he has won prizes in numerous competitions.  In 2010, Jun Lin won First Prize in the Youth Group at the Seattle International Piano Competition.  At the 12th Annual Russian Music Piano Competition in San Jose, USA, in 2011, he again won First Prize in the Youth Group.  In 2012, he earned First Prize in the Juniors at the Asia Youth Music Competition in Hong Kong;  and FirstPrize in the Professional Group 2, in addition to a Special Prize in the Professional level at the 14th Xinghai Cup National Piano Competition for Youth.  Jun Lin earned FirstPrize in Professional Group 2 at the Kayserburg National Piano Competition for Youth in 2013.  That same year at the Sixth Steinway National Piano Competition for Youth he won First Prize in Professional Group B, and the special award for participating in the International Steinway Festival “Young Talented in Concert” in Berlin.

Jun Lin attended the Canadian Calgary Morningside Music Bridge three times on a full scholarship.
