Kyle Yeung is a pianist, violinist, and composer from Irvine, California. He currently studies piano performance with Dr. Sasha Starcevich. At age seven, he made his orchestral debut by winning first prize at the US CAPMT Young Musicians Concerto Competition. Kyle was admitted to The Juilliard School Pre-College program at age 11 and studied with Julian Martin in 2019-21. He was the first prize recipient at the Stravinsky Awards Bach International Piano Competition, Glendale Piano Competition, ENKOR International Music Competition, and a gold medalist at the Northwest Chopin Competition. He was awarded Artist of the Year in 2018 and 2020 by the Great Composers Competition Series. Kyle has performed in numerous countries including Italy, Latvia, Costa Rica, New York’s Carnegie Hall and at the World Composers Recital in Vienna. He currently serves as the principal pianist of the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra and was featured as a soloist in multiple Pacific Symphony Santiago Strings concerts at Renée and Henry Segerstrom Hall. Kyle also plays the violin and served as the Concertmaster of the All-Southern California Elementary Honor Orchestra.
In addition, Kyle is a composer. His compositions have won numerous national and international competitions, including first prize at the Music Teacher Association of California Composers Today and Golden Key International Music Festival Composition Competition. He was also named National First Place winner at the 2019 Music Teachers National Association Composition Competition. His composition was featured at numerous Yamaha International Highlight Concerts.
Kyle is a current member of the Yamaha International Junior Original Concert program and Chamber Music OC.
