Yuhe Jin was born in Liaoning, China. He began learning piano with his mother at the age of four. He gave his debut when he was only six years old. In 2020, he was admitted to the Music Middle School affiliated with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, under the tutelage of Professor Yang Yunlin, a distinguished teacher in China. His excellent performance and achievements made him eligible for the Niu Ende Scholarship twice. In the summer of 2022, he successfully completed his solo recital concert at the Qiandaohu Concert Hall in the International Conference Center, Hangzhou. He has also performed at the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing.

Highlights of his competition achievements include first prize and the Compulsory Chinese Work Prize in the Xinghai Cup National Piano Competition (2022), first prize in the 10th Steinway & Sons National Youth Piano Competition Shanghai Regional Competition, second prize in the pre-selection of the 29th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition for Children and Youth in China, first prize in the 8th International Young Pianist Competition, second prize in the Scriabin International Piano Festival China Competition (2021), first prize in the Shanghai International Piano Open Competition (2019), first prize and the Jury’s Choice Award in the 12th Shanghai International Youth Competition, and first prize and Best Performance of a Chinese Work in the 12th Xiwang Cup Youth Piano Competition.

His favorite thing to do when not playing the piano is sports—table tennis, football, basketball, and swimming.
